WineTech in the national wine industry supplier trade exhibition and will be hosted by Wine Industry Suppliers Australia (WISA) in 2015.
It will run from 14-16 July at the Adelaide Showgrounds in South Australia and will showcase the latest innovations and developments, as well as proven products and services supporting the Australian wine industry. It will also provide an opportunity for suppliers and customers to meet with each other privately, at booths, workshops, seminars and social events.
WGGA will have a key presence in ‘The Hub’ – a designated area for visitors to come and speak to the national bodies on industry issues and organisational activities.

The annual SA Winegrape Growers Summit aims to provide growers with up-to-date industry information, an outlook for grapes and options for ensuring future sustainability.
It is ran by the Wine Grape Council of SA (WGCSA) who are the peak body for winegrape growers in SA.
This year’s summit will be held on Friday 17 July at Adelaide Oval, SA.
Market Analysis will be the focus, with speakers addressing questions such as:
- What do economic changes such as the new FTAs and the drop in value of the AUD mean for the wine industry?
- What grapes will wineries be looking for in 2016 and beyond?
- Is making wine a good option for grapegrowers?
- What are the important longer-term and emerging vineyard management issues that growers should be thinking about?
The Summit will also feature recipients of the ‘Vinnovation Award’ and will be showcasing a number of genuine South Australian vineyard innovations.

The Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology (ASVO) will be running its annual viticulture seminar on the 22-23 July 2015 at the Mildura Art Centre in Mildura, Victoria.
This year’s theme is ‘Vineyard Longevity – maintaining the asset’ and will address the need to increase productivity while protecting and enhancing the longevity of Australia’s vineyards.
Keynote speakers include:
- Dr Kendra Baumgartner, grapevine pathologist with USDA, who will discuss her research program in sustainable viticulture.
- Dr Vaughn Bell, New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research Limited, who will share profit-maximising disease control strategies that have been developed for vineyard managers.

The 16th Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference and Trade Exhibition (AWITC) is returning to Adelaide in July 2016.
The program will include esteemed local and international speakers, workshops, technical posters, an expansive trade exhibition and networking events.
A call for workshop submissions and poster abstracts will take place in the coming months and registrations will open in February 2016.
