Melinda Halden is a third year student undertaking a Bachelor of Science in Oenology and Viticulture at the Curtin University of Technology in WA.
She has a passion for sustainable viticultural practices and recently undertook her final year project on the effect changing climatic conditions will have on the production and wine style of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon in the Margaret River region.
Melinda spent two years working at Olive Farm Wines in the Swan Valley in a variety of front of house and production roles. She went on to work at Leeuwin Estate Winery during the 2013 vintage, gained vineyard operations experience from 2013 to 2015 and winery cellar hand operations/ laboratory technician at Xanadu wines during the 2014/2015 vintages.
Melinda has been a member of the Decision Support Network since September 2014.
