Martin Gransden (AUG 2013) small

Martin’s working life in viticulture began in Orange, NSW during the mid 90’s with a viticultural traineeship. He then continued to work in the industry for some of the regions small vineyards and wineries (Ross Hill and Bloodwood Estate) gaining an understanding of viticulture and winemaking from the ground up.

He then moved to Lowe Wines in Mudgee in 2002 to manage and develop vineyards and during this time completed a degree in Viticultural Management at the University of Sydney.

Martin left Mudgee to live in Adelaide and work as a regional manager with Nepenthe in the Adelaide Hills in 2005.

Martin has been an active member of the regional grape growing associations in Mudgee, the Adelaide Hills and Orange, and had the opportunity to also work in overseas in California and Portugal.

He returned to Orange with his wife in 2008 and is currently the company viticulturist at Cumulus Wines.

Martin has been a member of the Decision Support Network since November 2012.
