Liz Riley owns and runs Vitibit – a viticultural consultancy located in the Hunter Valley.  Vitibit provides viticultural consulting to small, medium and large vineyard operations and wineries in the Hunter as well as other regions of NSW and QLD.

Liz has 20 years experience in the wine industry; with six years spent in viticultural roles with Southcorp Wines (working across SA, Vic and NSW) and the last 12 years as an independent viticultural consultant based in the Hunter Valley.  She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Wine) from Roseworthy Agricultural College.  Liz is currently also an ‘Independent Expert for the Wine Industry Code of Conduct’ for Wine Australia and is a member of the Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology, the Hunter Valley Wine Industry Association and the NSW Farmers Association.  The Hunter Valley Wine Industry Association named Liz their ‘Viticulturist of the Year’ in 2011 and she was awarded the Australian Nuffield Farming Scholarship in 1997.  Liz is also a special qualifications director of the Australian Wine Research Institute and her tenure commenced on 6 December 2011.

Liz has been a member of the Decision Support Network since November 2012.
