Wine Grape Growers Australia wishes to acknowledge and celebrate the life of Kym Ludvigsen who died in a tragic farm accident on Tuesday night, 3 December 2013.

Kym’s passing means his services to WGGA and the industry in general will be sorely missed and the absence of his larger-than-life personality will leave a hole in many people’s lives.

Kym had been a committed member of the WGGA Executive Committee since early 2012, representing Greater Victoria and Tasmania, and was active in WGGA’s biosecurity responsibilities as well as it’s recent attempts to design management arrangements for the nation’s germplasm resources.

Kym was active on many fronts including as a member of Grampians Wine, the Victorian Viticultural Biosecurity Committee, Wine Victoria and the Australian Vine Improvement Association.  Kym worked his own vineyard, was involved in making his own wine and also consulted on viticultural matters.

We remember Kym with affection.
